Dr. Morse is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Duke University and at the top of his class from the Duke University School of Medicine. He completed an Internship and Junior Residency in General Surgery at Barnes Hospital/Washington University and his Senior Residency and Chief General Surgery training at the University of Rochester. Completing Research Fellowships in Pediatric Transplant Surgery at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical School and the Cincinnati Children's Hospital, he authored numerous peer reviewed basic science and clinical papers and has a patent from MIT. Dr. Morse was trained in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Florida and is uniquely trained as a Plastic Surgeon having also completed an Orthopedic Hand & Upper Extremity Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Morse strives to bring a strong sense of caring and commitment to each patient and believes that trust and understanding are key factors in the patient-surgeon relationship. He has been voted a Top Doctor for over 20 years both nationally by U.S. News & World Report and in the Washington DC metro area in both Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery. Dr. Morse has also served his country during a distinguished 23 year career in the US Navy including Desert Storm, the War on Terrorism and Iraqi Freedom, retiring at the rank of CAPTAIN and receiving 4 Navy Commendation Medals and the Meritorious Service Medal awarded by the President of the United States. He also trained and served as a NASA flight surgeon for a number of Shuttle Missions in the 1990s and 2000s.
